This is a lovely, quiet beach offering lots of things to do for the family. Stroll down the path from Colwyn House onto the beach. Enjoy snorkelling in the many large, clear rockpools, try to catch the multicoloured fish in your nets or just paddle in the warm water and watch the fascinating sea life.



Turn to your right and walk a few hundred meters to "Shorts" beach. Take a dip in the rock waterfall pool on your way. Enjoy swimming in the waves at "Shorts".

Or from the beach below Colwyn House turn to your right and stroll along to Christmas Bay. This beach can only be accessed from the beach at Sheffield which means it is never busy.

Walk around the point at Christmas Bay, a favourite fishing spot for the locals, and carry on along the beach to the Umhlali River mouth. This beach is flanked only by green hills and has no houses along it at all. At low tide you can cross the river mouth to Tinley Manor Beach. A favourite activity is to walk from Colwyn House to Tinley Manor (about an hour's easy walk) and enjoy an authentic Indian curry for lunch at the local restaurant.
